We meet once a month to enjoy mind-expanding conversations in a safe space with like minded people on a variety of different topics. At our next ConsciousCafé we will discuss the topic of Mindfulness. There will be a panel discussion with three experts in the field and a chance to ask questions and to experience mindfulness.
Viv Moorehas a PhD in experimental psychology and neuroscience , her research led to a lectureship at Kent University.. Ten years ago she trained in the scientifically validated program of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and was accepted on the U.K. Mindfulness Teachers Listing.
Ani Pema Deki(Emma Slade) was a high flying analyst for an international bank but after a terrifying hostage experience she began to have symptoms of post traumatic stress which led her on a journey to discover yoga, meditation and Buddhism which culminated in her becoming a Buddhist nun in Bhutan. As a committed Buddhist she says she is often asked “What is mindfulness?”
